This morning at 11:00, Michigan Gov Gretchen Whitmer issued Executive Order No. 2020-21, issuing a "stay home, stay safe" order for the state of Michigan. This executive order "prohibit[s] all in-person work that is not necessary to sustain or protect life". It is effective from 11:59 on March 23, 2020, for the next three weeks - until at least April 14, 2020, possibly longer.
Our dedication not only for the rule of law, but also for the safety of our community, demands that we respect this shelter-in-place order. However difficult our duty, in order to protect the most vulnerable amongst us, we must temporarily suspend operations at Mister-E-Liquid.
Effective immediately, any orders placed on MELWholesale.com will not ship until Executive Order No. 2020-21 is rescinded and our staff can safely return to work. Orders will be processed in the order they are received.
Illinois Gov J.B. Pritzker had already issued a similar order for Illinois, so our BloNoSmoke locations are all closed effective immediately, through at least April 7, 2020.
Our Mister-E's retail stores in Michigan will not open on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, and will remain closed until the order is rescinded. To allow our customers to get their vape juice before the order takes effect at midnight tonight, we are extending store hours for the following stores:
- Kentwood until 11:59 pm
- Niles until 8:00 pm
- Okemos until 8:00 pm
- Grand Rapids until 7:00 pm (unchanged)
- Belmont until 6:00 pm (unchanged)
We didn't want it to come to this, but we need to do our part to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus. This is about a broader duty to our society, to our economy, to our health care system, to our customer and our employees, and ultimately to those among us least able to protect themselves from this horrible illness. Stay home, stay safe, and we will see you when this is all over.
